We often get the question, why doesn't the color match what is on my screen? Well that is because the color on your screen is created differently than the color printed on paper.
CMYK vs RGB
CMYK: Cyan, magenta, yellow and black are mixed to create printed colors. These colors will appear duller because they are reflected off the paper not projected from the illumination of the screen.
RGB: Red, green and blue are mixed to create screen colors. These colors will appear brighter because they are projected from the illumination of the screen.
Even today, in the age of social media and cell phones, business cards are still super important. Often times it is the first and maybe the only introduction to your company a potential customer will have. That is why it is very important to make sure business cards not only stand out but look professional.
Top Three Tips When Creating Your Business Cards
#1 KEEP IT SIMPLE: Often times, people try to cram way too much information on their business cards. Logo, tag line, name, title, phone, address and website are the most important. If you want to list services consider printing on the back of your card or even upgrade to a brochure or rackcard as as follow up.
#2 DON'T USE TOO MANY FONTS: Too many fonts can look messy and take away from your logo. Make sure your logo stands out by picking a simple font for your details.
#3 STAND OUT: What make you unique or different from the other business in your field? Once you have determined that, find a way to incorporate that into your business cards. Are you a car service with fancy colored cars? Make your cards colorful. Are you a restaurant that uses farm fresh foods? Add a picture of delicious vegetables to the back of your card.
